C3: Escape Velocity is a dynamic musical improv group that captures the hearts and souls of their viewers. As it turns out, C3 is the energy needed to escape Earth’s orbit, and that’s their goal, transcending the mundane through their own sweet style of improv. Members Christine Welsh-Buck, Catherine Dietrich, and Catherine McSharry have extensive performing and training experience in musical theater, improvisation, and playwriting throughout the state of California and beyond, and pianist Benjamin Belew writes and performs original musical compositions. With their lyrical prose and soaring melodies, seeing C3 perform live will be a night to remember.
