Ben Stephens

Ben began his improv journey in 2001 and has been hooked ever since. He studied acting and earned his MFA, and has also trained in improv with The Second City, Annoyance Theatre, ComedySportz, and Upright Citizens Brigade. In 2011, he co-founded Made Up Theatre alongside his pals from 5 Play.

A former college professor, Ben now teaches and coaches at Made Up Theatre, where he enjoys helping students discover improv, build confidence, and find their own voice as performers.

Once upon a time, Ben was a member of the Roughhouse sketch comedy group. Unfortunately, one show—which shall not be named—sent the group into hiding and early retirement.

By day, Ben works for an event ticketing software company, which also happens to be the ticketing system Made Up Theatre uses—and dreams of one day attending an event without thinking about how the tickets were sold.
