Made Up Theatre has partnered with Black Improv Alliance to provide free tuition to our Intro to Improv course to Black students.  We are excited for this opportunity to promote an inclusive atmosphere in the improv and theatre community.  If you would like the opportunity to train with Made Up Theatre in a safe, supportive environment, please read below.

Currently accepting for the following Intro to Improv dates:

Mondays, January 11, 2021 (5 weeks from 7:00pm – 9:00pm PST)

Submission info below was lifted From the Black Improv Alliance website.

If you’re Black & interested in getting into improv, we’re looking for you!

If you are accepted to the program, you are expected to attend all classes at the theater with which you are matched.

Attendance at a rate below 75% may result in your removal from the program.

You will also be required to follow all Rules & Codes of Conduct of the theater with which you study.

Basically…we’re all trying to build relationships and we’re putting ourselves out there by doing this so…just be cool. Treat everyone with respect – and if you aren’t sure that you can consistently attend a class, PLEASE don’t accept a spot until you’re sure that you can be there.

Submission of the form below does not automatically guarantee admittance to the program. However, we want to serve as many people as we can. While we do offer workshops and programs geared toward all improvisers, this particular program is exclusively for Black people.
